Balaod, May 10: The Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme has completed 11 years, providing a safety net for millions of poor and middle-class families across the country. Launched in 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this initiative has been a significant relief for beneficiaries in Chhattisgarh’s Balaod.
Beneficiaries have expressed that the scheme has been a great support for low-income families during tough times. It has offered financial assistance to thousands of families facing accidents and unexpected deaths.
Manju Sahu from Balaod shared her thoughts with a news agency, stating that the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme is highly beneficial for account holders. She mentioned that the scheme provides up to one lakh rupees for disability due to an accident and two lakh rupees in case of death, which serves as crucial financial support for impoverished families during crises.
Others, including Ishwar Kumar, Om Prakash, and Lal Ji Sahu, noted that both the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme and the Prime Minister’s Life Insurance Scheme have directly benefited millions by providing insurance coverage. They remarked that previously, families would be devastated in the event of an accident or sudden death, but now, the financial aid from these schemes helps them recover.
Beneficiaries emphasized that without these schemes, the situation for poor families would be even more challenging. They expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and encouraged others to join such initiatives.
Om Prakash Sahu stated that the Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme has proven to be very beneficial, requiring only a nominal fee of 20 rupees per year. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to PM Modi for this initiative.
