Chhattisgarh CM meets Home Minister

New Delhi, April 13 : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel met Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, and discussed various issues including the state not receiving GST share. Talking to media after the meeting, Baghel said, “We discussed many issues. Around Rs 11,000 crore was deducted from our excise as payment for deployment of CRPF. We requested him to waive it off as it is with the north eastern states” “Our GST is going to be over in June and it will affect functioning of state. Though it is not directly related to his ministry, since Chhattisgarh is a Naxal dominated area it would be a matter or concern,” Baghel said. If states that are producing do not get GST why will be produce those things. Like steel is made in Chhattisgarh, it goes to other parts of country and ther world, if we lose, why will be established. He also said the special grant for the Naxal dominated areas has been stopped in 2021, and the he requested the Home Minister to restart it. Baghel also urged the Minister for allowing prefabricated steel bridges in Naxal areas. AO SHK1947
