
Chennai, May 10: C. Joseph Vijay, the leader of the Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, marking a new chapter in the state’s political landscape. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by political leaders, film industry personalities, and thousands of supporters, making it a historic event. Excitement swept across the state as Vijay assumed office.
TVK MLA N. Mary Wilson expressed that the people of Tamil Nadu are thrilled to see their son and brother as Chief Minister. He noted that the public had been eagerly waiting for this moment for the past three years.
Vijay also announced the release of a white paper on the state’s financial and administrative status, calling it a historic step.
Close associates and family members described the occasion as an emotional moment. Vijay’s friend Sanjay remarked that it was a moment beyond joy, with tears of happiness in his eyes. Vijay’s niece Pallavi called it a proud moment for the family, while his cousin Keertana highlighted the long struggle Vijay faced to reach this milestone.
Vijay’s father, renowned film director S.A. Chandrasekhar, reminisced about the hardships they faced when Vijay was born. He stated that Vijay has always persevered through challenges and worked hard to succeed.
The film industry also rallied behind Vijay. Venkat K. Narayan, producer of his latest film ‘Jananayakan,’ stated that a new era would begin in Tamil Nadu under Vijay’s leadership, and he would fulfill all his promises. Actress Sangeeta extended her best wishes, describing this as the start of good times for the state.
Politically, Vijay’s government is receiving support as well. Congress leader Girish Chodankar mentioned that Rahul Gandhi attended the oath-taking ceremony, and Congress is committed to working alongside this government to fulfill promises made to the public. Film producer V. Natarajan expressed hope that Vijay would provide a corruption-free government for the state.
