New Delhi April 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a significant update to its post-result services that will make the exam evaluation process more transparent for students. This move aims to promote transparency and empower students to verify their marks with greater clarity.

CBSE Result 2025 Expected by End of May

Following the trend from previous years, CBSE is expected to announce the Class 10 and 12 results in the last week of May. In 2024 and 2023, results were announced on 13 May and 12 May, respectively. Once released, students can check their results by visiting cbse.gov.in.

  • Class 10 Exams: Held from 15 February to 18 March

  • Class 12 Exams: Conducted from 5 February to 4 April

How to View Answer Sheets Online

CBSE has introduced a digital viewing facility for answer sheets, allowing students who are dissatisfied with their results to view evaluated scripts online. Here’s how it works:

  • Students can apply online after the results are declared.

  • A subject-wise application needs to be submitted via a dedicated CBSE link.

  • A fee of ₹500 per subject is applicable for online viewing.

  • This facility is available to both Class 10 and 12 students.

Photocopy Request for Detailed Review

For a more detailed review, students can also request a photocopy of their answer sheets:

  • Class 10: ₹700 per subject

  • Class 12: ₹500 per subject

  • Photocopies will be shared within 15 days of application.

This initiative will help students understand the marking breakdown and evaluate whether a revaluation is needed.

Revaluation Process: What to Know

If, after viewing their answer scripts, students believe their answers were incorrectly marked, they can apply for revaluation of specific questions:

  • Available only after reviewing the answer sheet.

  • Revaluation must be requested within the deadline window announced by CBSE.

  • Requests are subject to specific terms and conditions as outlined by the board.

Why the Initiative Matters

This step by CBSE marks a major shift toward transparency and student empowerment in the examination system. It not only gives students more control over their academic outcomes but also holds the evaluation process accountable. At a time when exam anxiety and mistrust in results are common, this initiative is a strong stride toward a fairer and more open system.
