CBI spl court to hear Crime Branch plea seeking cancellation of actor Dileep’s bail

Kochi, April 22 : The Additional Sessions Court (CBI Special) in Ernakulam will consider a plea filed by the Crime Branch of Kerala Police seeking cancellation of bail granted to actor Dileep. The crime branch also moved another plea seeking permission to interrogate court staff allegedly involved in the leakage of visuals of the alleged actor assault case. The Crime Branch plea says that Dileep allegedly involved in the 2017 actor assault case has influenced witnesses to destroy evidence in the case, violating his bail conditions. It also alleged that the visuals submitted to the trial court in a memory card were leaked and data was changed. On October 3, 2017, the actor was granted bail by the Kerala High Court in the actor abduction and assault case. The court imposed stringent conditions while granting bail to Dileep and said he should not tamper with evidence. It also said he should not influence or threaten the victim or witness by any means. In case of any violation of the conditions of his bail, the court said it will be open to the magistrate to take steps in that regard, including cancellation of bail after notice. DS SY 1642
