This lineup includes the AE-1600HX-1BV and AE-1600HX-3AV, designed as budget-friendly digital watches with a robust build and extended battery life.
The watch boasts a large, angular case measuring 54.1 × 49.7 × 15.9 mm and weighs 55 g. It features a resin case and bezel, complemented by a matching resin band and resin glass covering the display. The design prioritizes readability, showcasing a large LCD screen and a front-mounted button for quick access to the LED backlight. The AE-1600HX-1BV features a negative display with a sleek blacked-out look, highlighted by light blue labels.
A standout feature is the extra-long strap, accommodating wrist sizes from 145 mm to 235 mm. This design is ideal for users who prefer a looser fit or wish to wear the watch over clothing. The rally-style band includes dual holes for enhanced adjustment and a more secure fit.
The AE-1600HX series provides 100-meter water resistance and is powered by a CR2032 battery, which is rated for up to 10 years. It includes dual time, a 1/100-second stopwatch with elapsed, split, and 1st-2nd place timing, and a countdown timer with a range of up to 24 hours. The timer supports auto-repeat and can be set from 1 minute to 24 hours.
