New Delhi, April 12 : Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Tuesday accused present Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of being a “rubber stamp”, after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with officials from the state. “Worst was feared, worst happened. Arvind Kejriwal has taken over Punjab much before it was expected to happen. That Bhagwant Mann is a rubber stamp was a foregone conclusion already, now Kejriwal has proved it right by chairing Punjab officers’ meeting in Delhi,” Singh said in a tweet. Former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu also attacked the Aam Aadmi Party leaders over the issue. “Punjabs IAS officers summoned by Arvind Kejriwal in CM Bhagwant Mann’s absence. This exposes the de Facto CM and Delhi remote control. Clear breach of federalism, insult to Punjabi pride. Both must clarify,” Sidhu said. Kejriwal had met top officials of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on April 11, which was attended by Punjab’s chief secretary and secretary, Power. CM Bhagwant Mann was not present in the meeting. It came ahead of Mann and Kejriwal’s meeting on Tuesday, where discussions were held on the AAP promise to provide concession in electricity rates on the lines of Delhi. Kejriwal and Mann met here on Tuesday. After the meeting Mann tweeted that a “good news” for Punjab will come soon. AO SHK1847
