Operation High Alert

Jaisalmer, August 11 (H.S.) — In view of possible infiltration or any untoward activity during Independence Day celebrations, the Border Security Force (BSF) Rajasthan Frontier has launched ‘Operation High Alert’ along the Indo-Pakistan international border. The operation, which began today, will continue until August 17, with enhanced vigilance and additional security measures in place.

Operation High Alert

BSF North Sector DIG Yogendra Singh Rathore said that during this period, officers will remain deployed near the border fencing to boost the morale of jawans and ensure strict monitoring. All BSF units will remain fully active, with increased personnel strength along the border. Advanced digital gadgets will be used to keep a close watch on border villages, and jawans will patrol with state-of-the-art weapons.

Under Operation High Alert, BSF intensifies surveillance, especially in difficult and remote border areas. Considering the threat of drones, awareness drives will be conducted in border villages. Officers will carry out vehicle, camel and foot patrols day and night along the fencing, with patrol frequency higher than usual.

The operation also includes intensified search checks, active involvement of the BSF intelligence wing, and close coordination with other intelligence agencies, local residents, and the police.
