Brazil Dominates Haiti with 3-0 Victory in FIFA World Cup 2026

Philadelphia, June 20: In a stunning display of skill, Brazil triumphed over Haiti with a decisive 3-0 victory in Group C of the FIFA World Cup 2026. The match took place at Philadelphia Stadium, where Matthheus Cunha emerged as the star, scoring two goals.

This win propelled Brazil to the top of Group C, thanks to their superior goal difference. Following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Morocco, the team’s performance had come under scrutiny. However, Brazil’s commanding display against Haiti silenced critics.

From the outset, Brazil controlled the game. Cunha made a memorable debut in his first World Cup match, consistently creating opportunities and bolstering the team’s attack. Alongside him, Vinicius Junior and Raphinha also delivered impressive performances. Brazil’s first goal came in the 23rd minute when Haiti’s goalkeeper, Johnny Placide, managed to block Vinicius Junior’s shot, but the clearance attempt by Hans Delcroix deflected off Cunha and into the net.

Just nine minutes before halftime, Cunha doubled Brazil’s lead. He capitalized on a well-placed pass from Vinicius Junior, unleashing a powerful shot from the edge of the box that found the top corner of the goal. In stoppage time of the first half, Vinicius Junior added a third goal, ending the half with Brazil leading 3-0.

In the second half, Haiti attempted to mount a comeback but was thwarted by Brazil’s solid defense. Ricardo Ade made a strong header from a corner, but Brazil’s goalkeeper, Alisson, executed a brilliant save. In the closing moments, Brazil’s young talent, Endrick, found the net, but his goal was ruled offside. With this second consecutive loss, Haiti has been eliminated from the FIFA World Cup 2026.
