After the resignation of British Prime Minister Liz Truss, there was a possibility of a tough fight between Indian Rishi Sunak and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the race for the new Prime Minister. After the resignation of Boris Johnson in July, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak submitted their candidacy and members of the Conservative Party elected Liz Truss as prime minister.
