Jaipur, August 11 – Panic gripped Jaipur on Monday after a bomb threat was issued against the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The threat call was received at the Police Control Room, prompting senior officers to dispatch multiple agencies to the spot for an intensive search. No suspicious object was found.

Police confirmed that a 70-year-old man from Jhunjhunu, accused of making the threat call, has been arrested.
According to DCP South Rajarshi Raj, the call came in around 12:30 p.m., with the caller claiming he was going to blow up the CMO. The information was immediately shared with senior officers, and search operations were launched at the CMO premises. Meanwhile, the cyber team traced the phone number’s location, leading Jhunjhunu Police to apprehend the accused. Officials said the man is addicted to intoxicants and is being brought to Jaipur for questioning.
