Bollywood Actress Kirti Kulhari Falls Victim to Cyber Fraud, Police Investigation Underway

Mumbai, July 29: Bollywood actress and producer Kirti Kulhari, 43, has become a victim of a serious cyber fraud case. Unknown criminals gained unauthorized access to her mobile phone and credit card, resulting in a fraudulent transaction of ₹243,852 in just a few minutes. Following her complaint, the Amboli police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

According to the FIR, Kulhari resides in the Versova area and supports her family through her acting and film production work. The incident occurred around 9:31 PM while she was at the Cinepolis theater near Fun Republic Mall in Andheri West. During this time, she received an alert message on her mobile regarding a charge of $2,525 on her credit card for Aeromexico Airlines.

Upon noticing the suspicious foreign transaction alert, the actress promptly contacted the bank’s toll-free helpline. After an investigation, bank officials informed her that four unauthorized large transactions had been made using her credit card, prompting them to block the card for security reasons.

In her statement to the police, Kulhari mentioned that her credit card password was completely confidential and had not been shared with anyone. Authorities suspect that her phone and card may have been hacked through digital malware or spyware.

Given the seriousness of the case, the Amboli police have filed a complaint against the unidentified accused. The cyber cell team is currently searching for the perpetrators based on bank reference numbers and digital footprints. Notably, Kirti Kulhari has delivered outstanding performances in hit films such as ‘Pink’, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Indu Sarkar’, ‘Mission Mangal’, and ‘Criminal Justice’.
