Blast at Ramgarh Steel Plant Leaves Four Workers Injured, One Critical
A furnace explosion at a Ramgarh steel plant injured four workers, with one in critical condition, raising safety concerns.

Ramgarh, October 25 (Daily Kiran) : A furnace explosion at the Shri Ram Power and Steel Plant in Kuzu, Ramgarh district, occurred late Saturday evening, injuring four workers. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition, while the others sustained minor burns. The incident led to chaos within the plant as employees rushed to assist their injured colleagues.
The explosion happened during the night shift when production was underway. The four workers, all from Bihar, were caught in the blast. Following the incident, panic spread among other employees, prompting them to demand better medical facilities for the injured.
Despite the serious nature of the injuries, plant management downplayed the incident, labeling it as minor. They have not provided detailed information regarding the cause of the explosion, safety measures in place, or the current condition of the injured workers. Local police from Kuzu OP arrived at the scene to assess the situation, but the official cause of the blast has yet to be confirmed.
This incident has reignited concerns about safety protocols at the plant, especially since a similar explosion occurred on August 9, 2026, resulting in a worker’s death. The latest event has once again raised alarms about the adequacy of safety measures for workers at the facility.
