Black Box Completes Acquisition of Brazils 2S Inovação Tecnológica SA

Mumbai, May 13: Black Box Limited announced on Tuesday that it has successfully completed the acquisition of Brazil’s leading digital infrastructure company, 2S Inovação Tecnológica SA.

Black Box, a technology arm of the Essar Group and a global provider of digital infrastructure solutions, stated that this acquisition marks a significant step in its global expansion strategy. It also aims to advance its long-term goal of achieving $2 billion in annual revenue by 2030. The effective date of this acquisition is noted as May 1, 2026.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, 2S Inovação Tecnológica offers end-to-end digital infrastructure services. The company operates in various sectors, including consulting and strategy, enterprise and data center networking, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, cybersecurity operations, system integration, managed services, and lifecycle optimization.

2S has a strong foothold in mission-critical networking, hyperscale data center infrastructure, collaboration, and security solutions.

This acquisition will significantly enhance Black Box’s capabilities and market presence in Latin America, particularly in rapidly growing sectors such as data center networking, digital connectivity, cybersecurity, and managed infrastructure services.

The company emphasized that this deal strengthens Brazil’s strategic importance in Black Box’s global operations, as enterprise companies, cloud providers, and hyperscale firms in the region are rapidly investing in next-generation digital infrastructure.

According to reports, Brazil’s fast-growing digital economy, the pace of cloud technology adoption, AI-based infrastructure investments, and strong engineering talent are making it a vital regional hub for digital infrastructure and technology services.

Sanjeev Verma, Black Box’s full-time director and CEO, stated, “The acquisition of 2S is a significant milestone in Black Box’s global growth journey and will strengthen our strategic position in the rapidly growing Latin American market.”

He noted that 2S possesses deep expertise in Cisco networking, enterprise and data center infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services, which will further enhance Black Box’s global capabilities.

Verma highlighted that companies worldwide are increasingly investing in AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital connectivity. Consequently, the demand for secure, robust, and scalable networks and data center infrastructure is continuously rising.

He added that this acquisition will enable the company to provide better services to customers at every stage of digital infrastructure transformation, including network modernization, data center integration, managed operations, and cybersecurity.

According to the company, this deal also reflects its focus on disciplined inorganic growth as part of its long-term strategy.

Sanjeev Verma further mentioned that the acquisition is expected to generate an additional annual revenue of approximately ₹500 crore. It will also strengthen networking and data center operations in Latin America and enhance the capability to deliver end-to-end digital infrastructure solutions globally.
