BJPs Nishith Pramanik Accuses Mamata Banerjee of Creating Fear in Malda Incident

Kolkata, April 6: Nishith Pramanik, the BJP candidate from Mathabhanga, has accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of orchestrating the Malda incident to instill fear among the public. He stated that Banerjee has maintained a climate of fear in the state to secure her power, but this time, she will face defeat in the elections.

In an interview with a news agency, Pramanik claimed that it is not just the BJP calling for change; the people of Bengal are demanding it too. He emphasized the need for a government that can foster development, criticizing the past 15 years of chaos and poor governance under the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The public is eager to uproot the TMC government.

Pramanik highlighted the issue of unemployment, attributing it directly to Banerjee’s policies. He pointed out that many educated youths from Bengal are forced to seek jobs in other states, while Banerjee mocks their situation. He questioned why a young person in her household is unemployed and suggested that they should start selling snacks.

He also raised concerns about illegal immigration, making serious allegations against Banerjee. “The un-fenced areas along the India-Bangladesh border pose a significant threat to national security. Yet, these regions remain unprotected due to Banerjee’s inaction. If the central government cannot intervene in certain areas, why has she not allocated 450 kilometers of land for fencing along the border?” he asked. He further questioned whether Banerjee had facilitated the influx of Rohingyas and fake voters.

Referring to the Malda incident, Pramanik recalled Banerjee’s earlier statement that similar events could recur. He asserted that she has a specific group under her control, while Hindus and Sanatanis cannot be manipulated in the same way. “It is clear who is actually in control. Banerjee orchestrated the Malda incident to instill fear among the populace,” he alleged.

He noted that border villages typically have low populations, but due to illegal immigration, these areas have seen a surge in residents, most of whom are infiltrators. He claimed that if fake voters and Rohingyas were removed, Banerjee would lose the elections.

Pramanik also mentioned that ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, 250,000 fake voters were registered. He accused the District Magistrate of adding numerous names to the voter list, particularly in areas with high Muslim populations. “Had a special revision of the voter list been conducted before the elections, we would have undoubtedly won,” he stated.

Reiterating his stance, Pramanik confidently declared, “I can assure you that the people of Bengal will bring about change this time, heralding a new dawn.”
