BJPs Commitment to Womens Safety in West Bengal: Mithali Mal

Kolkata, May 7: Mithali Mal, the newly elected BJP MLA from West Bengal, has criticized the Mamata Banerjee government regarding women’s safety. She stated that under Mamata’s rule, women felt unsafe even stepping outside their homes. The BJP, she asserted, will take concrete steps to address this issue.

In a conversation in Kolkata, Mithali Mal expressed gratitude to her constituents for electing her as their leader, stating, “I am an ordinary woman who has been given a ticket by the Bharatiya Janata Party.”

She emphasized her commitment to working for Bengal under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Highlighting the safety concerns in the Murshidabad area, she acknowledged that women there face significant security challenges and are often afraid to leave their homes. “We will work on this issue,” she assured.

Mithali Mal pointed out that the public has rejected Mamata Banerjee, yet she remains in denial. “The people have already given their verdict,” she remarked. Regarding the murder of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s aide, she promised that no criminal would be spared once the BJP is in power.

She criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC), stating that the party is synonymous with violence. “The TMC creates chaos in Bengal, and even after losing, they have not learned their lesson,” she said.

BJP leader Debashish Dhar labeled the murder as part of a larger TMC conspiracy, asserting that the public had decided on a BJP victory. “Now we need to work. The BJP is the only party capable of bringing about positive change, while the TMC aims to create disorder,” he added.

He also stated that once the BJP forms the government, strict measures will be implemented. Debashish Dhar mocked Mamata Banerjee’s statements, saying, “You cannot wake up in the morning and call the sun the moon.”

Discussing violence, he noted that the highest levels of violence in the state have occurred under Mamata Banerjee’s administration. “She is willing to go to any lengths to save her government,” he concluded.
