BJP Workers Stand Firm Amid Violence in Bengal and Kerala: Gujarat Party Chief

Banaskantha, April 23: Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma addressed the recent incidents of electoral violence in West Bengal and Kerala, highlighting the challenges faced by BJP workers in those states. Despite the atrocities and killings, he emphasized their unwavering commitment to strengthening the party organization.

Vishwakarma made these remarks during a ‘Vikas Sankalp Sabha’ held in Palanpur, Banaskantha district, ahead of the local body elections. He noted that BJP workers remain actively engaged with the public throughout the year.

The state BJP chief stated, “BJP workers are among the people 365 days a year, dedicated to public service, while opposition leaders are only visible during elections.”

He criticized the Congress party, claiming that due to organizational weaknesses, they have lost the trust of the public. He alleged that Congress lacks policy, intent, and leadership, resulting in a loss of faith not only among the general populace but also among its own workers.

Vishwakarma also expressed that both the central and state governments are fully committed to welfare governance and development. He mentioned relief measures for farmers, including a ₹10,000 crore package for those affected by unseasonal rains, alongside ₹15,000 crore allocated for crop procurement at support prices.

He stated, “Under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s leadership, these payments are being directly deposited into farmers’ bank accounts, reflecting the government’s ongoing support for the agricultural community.”

On national security, Vishwakarma noted a significant shift in the current government’s approach to combating terrorism. He remarked, “Previous administrations merely issued statements in response to terrorist attacks, while the current administration has taken decisive action. The BJP’s policy is one of ‘zero tolerance’ towards terrorism.”

He referenced strong measures like surgical strikes and airstrikes during his address. Additionally, he highlighted initiatives launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at preserving cultural and religious heritage, including the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and ongoing development projects at major pilgrimage sites such as Kashi, Ujjain, Somnath, Pavagadh, Ambaji, and Dwarka.

Vishwakarma urged BJP workers to further strengthen the grassroots organization to ensure a remarkable electoral performance in Banaskantha district. He called on them to work diligently and with dedication to secure victories in all assembly seats within the district.
