Shimla, April 10 : The upcoming Himachal Pradesh Assembly polls will be contested under the leadership of state Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, BJP National president JP Nadda said here on Sunday. The BJP chief stated this while addressing a press conference. Responding to a query of leadership change in the hilly-state, Nadda said Jai Ram Thakur would complete his tenure as HP CM and the next Assembly Election would also be fought under his leadership. He also indicated that the party could change 10 to 15 per cent sitting MLAs. On being asked about Pushkar Singh Dhami being made CM of Uttarakhand even after loosing his seat in the recently-concluded elections, he said: “Party takes decision on the basis of merit.” Attributing Himachal’s development to BJP, the party chief said that Himachal was always neglected during the the Congress regime while BJP’s schemes brought in development to the hilly-state. He said that in June, PM Narendra Modi could dedicate the OPD services of AIIMS to the people of Himachal. ML GK
