BJP Sets Sights on Telangana After Victories in Bengal and Assam

Hyderabad, May 4: Following a significant victory in West Bengal and retaining power in Assam, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are filled with enthusiasm. On Monday, party officials declared that their next target is Telangana.

As news of BJP’s impressive wins in Bengal and Assam spread, party workers in Telangana celebrated with fireworks and sweets at the state headquarters.

BJP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy stated that whenever elections are held in the state, the BJP flag will fly high. He claimed that the public, disillusioned by the failures of the BRS and Congress, is now ready for change.

“The BJP is winning one state after another. Whenever elections occur in Telangana, the saffron wave will prevail here as well,” Maheshwar Reddy asserted. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s visit to Telangana on May 10 signals that the next government will be led by the BJP.

Telangana BJP President N. Ramchandra Rao congratulated the people of Bengal on their historic victory and expressed confidence that the BJP will also gain power in Telangana in the upcoming elections. He emphasized that in states where the BJP governs, the public continues to show trust in the party due to its commitment to corruption-free and citizen-centric governance.

He criticized opposition parties and Congress, stating that the public has rejected the ‘India’ alliance and its allies. Ramchandra Rao referred to the DMK’s third-place finish in Tamil Nadu as a lesson for those engaging in divisive politics.

He announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hyderabad on May 10, marking his first visit to Telangana since taking office for a third term. A massive rally is expected at the Secunderabad Parade Ground, with over 200,000 attendees anticipated.

Ramchandra Rao urged the state’s residents to come out in large numbers to give the Prime Minister a grand welcome, claiming that the BJP’s policies and the Modi government’s good governance are bringing about change across the country.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar stated that the election results serve as a response to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who attempted to create divisions along regional lines.

He predicted that soon, ‘double-engine’ governments will emerge in all states. Sanjay Kumar called on the public to make the Prime Minister’s Hyderabad rally a success, noting that approximately ₹7,823 crores worth of development projects will be inaugurated during the visit.

BJP leaders believe that with a focus on development and good governance, the party is poised for significant political changes in Telangana soon.
