Ahmedabad, February 20: BJP National President Nitin Naveen is currently on a three-day tour of Gujarat. On Friday, he emphasized that party workers are consistently present among the public, while the opposition comprises part-time politicians who only appear during elections.
At a welcome event held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Naveen urged party workers to maintain continuous engagement with citizens and prioritize public service as their main duty.
Present at the event were Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, and other senior party leaders.
Nitin Naveen stated that with the 2027 and 2029 elections in mind, party workers must strengthen their grassroots presence. He noted that certain forces are re-emerging, lacking concern for national security or the welfare of ordinary citizens, and are driven solely by self-interest.
He described BJP workers as “full-time politicians” who are always among the people. Referencing Gujarat’s legacy, Naveen expressed his respect for the land that gave birth to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has provided leadership to both the nation and the world.
Naveen remarked, “Mahatma Gandhi delivered the message of non-violence from this land, which has given India a unique global identity. The work of uniting the country by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is a source of pride for every Gujarati. Gujarat has produced many great personalities who have enriched its culture and heritage.”
He added that India in the 21st century is progressing while preserving its heritage, crediting Prime Minister Modi for this advancement.
Naveen also acknowledged Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that under his leadership, the party has significantly expanded. Thanks to the hard work, struggle, and dedication of party workers, Gujarat is on the path to becoming a developed state.
He noted that continuous development has occurred under BJP governments, with development schemes reaching villages and towns across the state.
Naveen concluded, “Today, Gujarat is guiding not only the country but the entire world. Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India is achieving a new global identity.”
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel described Naveen as a leader who has witnessed India’s transformation over decades. He highlighted Naveen’s extensive experience in both government and organizational roles, having effectively served as in-charge of several states.
Patel stated, “The characteristic and essence of the world’s largest democratic party is that even a booth-level worker has the opportunity to reach the position of National President based on dedication, competence, and capability. The BJP is not just a political party but a movement dedicated to national service, development, and public welfare.”
He expressed confidence that Naveen’s leadership will further strengthen the organization and guide young workers.
State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma noted that Naveen views politics not merely as a means to gain power, but as a journey of values and determination.
Vishwakarma remarked, “His journey from a simple worker to the National President of the world’s largest party is a source of pride and inspiration for all workers. The organization is the soul of the BJP, and the workers are its strength.”
