BJP Prepares for Cabinet Expansion in Bihar Amid Political Activity

Patna, May 5: Political activities in Bihar have intensified following the impressive electoral performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal and Assam. Preparations are underway for a significant cabinet expansion led by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, scheduled for May 7 at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

A crucial meeting was held at the BJP’s state office in Patna to discuss the cabinet expansion. BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi attended the meeting, where the agenda, organizational preparations, and various arrangements were thoroughly discussed. During the discussions, the state president provided several important directives. The meeting also included organization general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania and former minister and MLA Nitish Mishra. They focused on making the event successful, well-organized, and historic.

Bihar BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi confirmed that the cabinet expansion will take place on May 7, with the oath-taking ceremony at Gandhi Maidan. Preparations for the event are in full swing. Notable attendees will include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National President Nitin Naveen, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister JP Nadda, and Janata Dal (United) National President Nitish Kumar.

Sarawagi mentioned that leaders from the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), including central minister Chirag Paswan, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, and National Lok Morcha head Upendra Kushwaha, along with other central ministers and NDA leaders from Bihar, are expected to attend. He emphasized that the ceremony at Gandhi Maidan will not just be a routine oath-taking event but a grand display of political strength.

Local party units and legislators have been tasked with decorating the entire city with flags and banners from the airport to Gandhi Maidan. In anticipation of the Prime Minister’s visit, extensive security measures have been implemented throughout Patna. Senior administrative officials, including the district magistrate and senior superintendent of police, have reviewed preparations and coordinated with party representatives to finalize the event plan. Tight security and multi-layered arrangements are being established around key locations, including the BJP office and the event site.

Political analysts believe that this reshuffle may introduce new faces and involve a redistribution of key departments. It is expected that this process will reflect a strategic balance of caste and regional representation in the state. To manage the anticipated large crowd, the administration has developed a detailed crowd control and traffic regulation plan. A large stage equipped with modern facilities is being constructed at Gandhi Maidan, and security personnel will be deployed at key locations to ensure smooth operations and minimize public inconvenience.
