BJP MPs Demand Action Against Rahul Gandhi Over Controversial Book

New Delhi, February 10: Following a controversy surrounding former Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravane’s book, BJP MPs have targeted Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. They are calling for action against him.

BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal stated that Rahul Gandhi is adept at sensationalizing issues. He claimed to have verified lines from the book, asserting, “I confirm this.” However, upon further investigation, it became clear that he was outright lying. Jaiswal pointed out that while Gandhi claimed to be verifying the information in front of the entire House, he did not even sign his statement. Such a person should face consequences. He questioned the book’s publication status, noting that Naravane himself stated it has not been published. Jaiswal accused Gandhi of creating a false narrative and insisted that action should be taken against him.

BJP MP Ajay Bhatt remarked that everyone knows the opposition is spreading misinformation. He emphasized that discussions must remain within the bounds of rules and laws, and matters outside the House should not be raised here.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey highlighted a post from Penguin India on social media, stating that none of their books, whether in PDF, Kindle, digital, or physical form, have been published. He questioned how Rahul Gandhi obtained the book if it has not been published. Dubey reiterated that Naravane’s recent statements confirm the book’s non-publication and challenged Gandhi to present the entire book or apologize to the nation.

BJP MP Shashank Mani Tripathi echoed similar sentiments, labeling the situation as a bundle of lies. He noted that initially, Gandhi claimed there was a book, but moments later, he contradicted himself by saying there was none. The following day, he produced a book, despite the fact that everyone knew it had not been published. Tripathi suggested that Gandhi must have had it printed by someone else. With Naravane’s confirmation, he insisted that Gandhi should apologize for the disruptions caused in the House.
