BJP Leaders Visit Kamakhya Devi Temple Ahead of Assam Swearing-In Ceremony

New Delhi, May 12: Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to take the oath of office for the second time on Tuesday. Prime Minister Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony, alongside Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, as well as central ministers.

Before the ceremony, several Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers visited the Kamakhya Devi Temple.

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Sunetra Pawar, shared her experience on social media after visiting the temple. She expressed gratitude for the divine blessings of Goddess Kamakhya and prayed for the prosperity, health, and happiness of all. She also had the honor of meeting Delhi’s Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, and engaged in heartfelt conversations with devotees from Maharashtra. The visit left her with a profound spiritual experience and renewed energy.

Bihar’s Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, also posted about his visit to the famous temple located on the Nilachal Hills in Guwahati, Assam. He prayed for the welfare, peace, and prosperity of everyone.

Delhi’s Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, performed rituals at the Kamakhya Temple. She remarked that it is the grace of Goddess Kamakhya that the BJP is forming the government in Assam for the third time. The love and trust of the people, along with the blessings of the goddess, will keep Assam prosperous. The people of Assam have given a historic mandate to the BJP and NDA family, endorsing PM Modi’s development-oriented and welfare-focused politics. This mandate symbolizes not just an electoral victory but also the unwavering faith of the people in the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” the strength of the double-engine government, and India’s cultural consciousness.

Central Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his joy on social media, stating that Assam is once again set to witness a BJP government taking the oath on the sacred land of Kamakhya. He reflected on the transformation of Assam over the past decade, from facing challenges to now redefining good governance and development. The echoes of the commitment to a ‘Developed Assam’ resonate from the Brahmaputra’s waves to the temple’s courtyard. Under PM Modi’s guidance and Himanta Biswa Sarma’s leadership, the winds of development across Assam will not cease. The commitment to a developed India will be fulfilled through a developed Assam.
