Patna, May 9: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has responded robustly to allegations of ‘family politics’ against Bihar Minister Nishant Kumar, made by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav. BJP leaders emphasized that Nishant Kumar has been appointed as a minister in accordance with the party’s decisions and in respect of public sentiment, while accusing Tejashwi Yadav’s family of being mired in corruption.
Central Minister Giriraj Singh stated, “What can Tejashwi Yadav say about family politics when his entire family is entangled in corruption? What allegations can he make against Nitish Kumar? Nitish Kumar has never protected corrupt individuals or supported criminals.”
Minister Ram Kripal Yadav responded to Tejashwi Yadav, asserting, “This is not dynastic politics. Nishant Kumar has never shown any interest in politics. His father has served as Chief Minister for many years, yet have you ever seen him harboring political ambitions or engaging in such activities?”
He added, “Nishant Kumar has become a minister respecting the party’s decision and public sentiment. He is educated and has been entrusted with a significant responsibility in the health department. He will fulfill this duty with utmost dedication and integrity, ensuring health services reach every underprivileged individual.”
Minister Dilip Jaiswal also countered Tejashwi Yadav’s claims, stating, “Making baseless statements about someone is foolishness. It seems Tejashwi Yadav has never met Nishant Kumar. I have met him 3-4 times. He speaks seriously and has his own personal experiences.”
Additionally, Minister Lesi Singh remarked, “Tejashwi Yadav speaks based on his own experiences. Surely, his department is also being run by officials. He lacks substantial topics to discuss, which is why he keeps making meaningless statements.”
