New Delhi: On the birth anniversary of Padma Vibhushan awardee and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Rajasthan Governor, Kalyan Singh, leading BJP leaders across the country paid homage and remembered his significant contributions. Kalyan Singh, regarded as a key figure in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and a symbol of good governance, was honoured by central ministers and chief ministers alike for his enduring legacy.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Kalyan Singh as a “fierce nationalist leader” who epitomised crime-free governance in Uttar Pradesh. He praised Singh for never compromising on the protection of the nation’s heritage and cultural pride, and for stepping down from power while remaining steadfast in his ideological values. Shah said, “His commitment to public welfare and service remains memorable.”
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted Singh’s fearless political leadership and moral integrity. He stated that during his tenure as Chief Minister, Singh transformed power into a means of service and set an example of administration free from fear and corruption. Pradhan also acknowledged Singh’s role in strengthening the BJP’s ideological foundation and connecting the party with the grassroots. He added, “His contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement is etched in the nation’s history, inspiring millions of workers.”
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal paid tribute by calling Singh a popular leader and a staunch patriot with unparalleled contribution to the Shri Ram Temple movement. Meghwal said that Singh would always be remembered for his firm decisions and principled life even in adverse situations.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal saluted Singh’s lifelong dedication to the construction of the grand Shri Ram Lalla temple. He remarked that Singh’s commitment to the nation, culture, and eternal values would remain unforgettable.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honoured Singh as a resolute warrior of the Ram Temple movement who ignited faith in countless devotees. He described Singh as an embodiment of dedication, sacrifice, and loyalty, whose welfare policies and strong administrative resolve accelerated the development of Uttar Pradesh. Yogi called Singh’s life a unique example of service to society and the nation.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised Singh as a determined protector of nationalism and Sanatan culture who decisively guided the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He paid heartfelt tribute on Singh’s birth anniversary, stating that Singh’s unwavering commitment to national interest, principled politics, and promotion of eternal values will continue to inspire society.
