BJP Leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Criticizes Factless Protests at JNU

New Delhi, February 27: Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has responded to the recent unrest at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). He stated that he, too, emerged from student movements and has participated in protests on various issues. However, he emphasized that he has never been involved in protests lacking any factual basis.

In an interview with a news agency on Friday, Naqvi questioned the nature of such protests that have no facts or boundaries. He remarked that these kinds of demonstrations lose their meaning and are attempts to disrupt the atmosphere, which cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

Naqvi also addressed the NCERT issue, noting that the Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the matter and that the central government is taking steps to rectify it. He expressed that there is no need to escalate the situation further.

Regarding the current state of the Congress party, Naqvi stated that Congress is no longer in a position to accept the public mandate. He claimed that this inability has led the party to act against democracy, which is unacceptable.

He added that if a party grows increasingly dissatisfied with the mandate, it may resort to national and international issues to mislead the public. Naqvi criticized Congress for allegedly creating confusion and fear among the masses on various issues, calling it entirely wrong.
