Patna, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leader Mithun Tiwari has sharply criticized the opposition’s protests regarding alleged vote theft in Bihar. He accused Tejashwi Yadav and the opposition alliance of losing public trust following their electoral defeat. Tiwari pointed out that after losing the elections, the opposition has raised questions about Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and constitutional institutions.
Tiwari emphasized that if there was indeed vote theft, it raises the question of how Tejashwi Yadav and 25 other legislators managed to win. He urged the opposition to provide evidence for their claims instead of taking to the streets. According to him, the opposition should focus on winning back the trust of the public rather than staging protests.
He criticized the opposition for questioning the electoral process while having made mistakes themselves when in power. Tiwari stated that the double-engine government is committed to the welfare of the people, and the Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, has vowed to make Bihar prosperous.
He claimed that the opposition’s efforts to raise the issue of vote theft stem from their realization that the public has rejected them. Tiwari also suggested that Yadav is attempting to save his political career. He hinted at potential fractures within the RJD, noting that the party has already lost public and worker support, and may soon lose its legislators as well.
In his statement, Tiwari also commemorated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service, highlighting his commitment to the principle of “Karma is Dharma.” He asserted that NDA workers are dedicated to regaining public trust, which is why opposition leaders are anxious about their political future.
Targeting leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Tiwari remarked that the opposition seems more focused on preserving their political standing than on serving the public. He urged them to engage with the people to regain their confidence rather than questioning constitutional institutions.
