New Delhi, February 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized the protests by Congress workers during the AI Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. BJP leaders accused Congress members of acting on the instructions of party MP Rahul Gandhi, claiming they engaged in actions that disrespected India.

BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala stated, “Congress has demonstrated that for them, AI stands for Anti-India. This is not the Indian National Congress (INC), but rather the Anti-National Congress (ANC).”

He noted that the ‘India AI Impact Summit’ has received global acclaim, with praise coming from figures such as French President Emmanuel Macron and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as well as leaders from major corporations. Even Congress MP Shashi Tharoor acknowledged the significance of the AI Summit. However, Poonawala criticized Congress for opposing India, describing their actions as characterless, brainless, and emotionless.

Poonawala emphasized that the opposition is not against the BJP or Prime Minister Modi, but rather against India’s achievements. He pointed out that this is not the first time Congress has protested; similar actions occurred during the vaccine rollout, UPI launch, and Operation Sindoor. “Today, Congress is not merely opposing the BJP but is acting against the nation,” he stated.

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari remarked, “Congress is an entry India party. Congress workers, under Rahul Gandhi’s direction, disrupted the AI Summit with objectionable slogans. Such behavior can only come from a party with anti-national intentions. Whenever India gains respect and progresses, Rahul Gandhi and the Vadra family seem to take offense, leading them to disrespect the nation for their political gain.”

He further urged Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party to apologize to the nation.

The BJP also took to social media platform X, stating, “While India hosts an AI summit showcasing its technological innovations and leadership, the Congress party chose disruption over dignity. Congress workers caused a ruckus at the venue, clearly intending to embarrass India on the global stage.”

In their post on X, the BJP added, “As the country strives to establish itself as a global technology powerhouse, such conduct serves only those who wish to see India fail. Political opposition is a democratic right, but harming India’s global image is unacceptable.”
