New Delhi, April 27: BJP National Spokesperson C.R. Kesavan has launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar after sharing a video of his remarks on the social media platform X.
Kesavan described Wadettiwar’s comments as shocking and concerning. He accused the Congress leader of implying that, similar to the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Narendra Modi could also face threats. Kesavan labeled these statements as highly irresponsible and condemnable.
He further stated that Wadettiwar has a history of making controversial claims. The BJP spokesperson pointed out that the Congress leader had previously made offensive remarks regarding the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, questioning the death of martyr Hemant Karkare and casting doubt on the role of terrorist Ajmal Kasab. The BJP criticized this as giving a “clean chit” to terrorism and Pakistan.
Kesavan also targeted the Congress leadership, noting that senior party members have remained silent on such statements. He called on Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to clarify their stance on this issue. The BJP alleges that Congress’s politics promotes a divisive and dangerous mindset.
Wadettiwar had stated, “No, no, look, as you sow, so shall you reap. What he did while in power, controlling the world, has troubled every nation. His language has ruined the country.”
