BJP Appoints New State Presidents in Four States, Harsh Malhotra Takes Charge in Delhi

New Delhi, May 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced new state presidents for four states on Thursday. Central Minister Harsh Malhotra has been appointed as the president of the Delhi unit, succeeding Virender Sachdeva. Additionally, the party revealed the names of new presidents for Punjab, Haryana, and Tripura. BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh issued a notification regarding these appointments.

In the notification, Singh stated, “BJP National President Nitin Naveen has appointed Harsh Malhotra as the president of the BJP Delhi unit. This appointment is effective immediately.”

Harsh Malhotra, a senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Delhi, currently holds a ministerial position in the central government. He has been actively involved in organizational politics for a long time and has taken on several significant responsibilities within the Delhi BJP. He is known for his proactive role in public relations, organizational capacity, and development-related issues.

Dr. Archana Gupta, an active BJP leader and physician from Haryana, has been entrusted with the role of state president. She is recognized for her strong grip on organizational politics and has played a crucial role in empowering women’s leadership within the party. Following her appointment, there are high expectations for her to expand the organization and strengthen the party’s grassroots workers.

Meanwhile, Sardar Keval Singh Dhillon has been appointed as the president of the Punjab unit at a time when assembly elections are scheduled for 2027. He has served as an MLA from Barnala twice and is known as a leader who prioritizes development. It is said that he does not compromise on development-related initiatives. Notably, he contested the Sangrur Lok Sabha by-election in 2022 and the Barnala assembly by-election in 2024 on behalf of the BJP.

Abhishek Debroy, an active leader in Tripura’s BJP, has also been appointed as the state president. He has been involved in organizational work for a long time and has played a significant role in various party campaigns. The party leadership expects him to strengthen the organization and increase its support base in Tripura.
