Patna, February 18: During the proceedings of the Bihar Assembly, several significant issues were discussed. RLM MLA Madhav Anand raised topics related to rural and urban development, praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for various important decisions made in the state.

He stated that numerous revolutionary decisions have been taken during the government’s tenure, benefiting the entire state of Bihar.

Madhav Anand highlighted that among these crucial decisions is the Prohibition Law, which was implemented with good intentions. However, he emphasized that it is now time for a comprehensive review of this law. According to him, it is essential to assess the outcomes of the prohibition, the objectives behind its implementation, and whether any shortcomings exist.

He suggested that discussions should also consider whether the law needs strengthening, amendments, or if it is still necessary. Open dialogue on these issues will help clarify the situation.

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA Kumar Sarvjeet raised the issue of caste-based census and reservation in the state. He pointed out that a provision for 65% reservation was made based on the census, but it was not included in the Constitution’s Ninth Schedule. He noted that when he was a minister with Tejashwi Yadav, this matter was consistently brought up but received little attention. According to him, the issue of Dalit respect has persisted since the matter went to court.

RJD MLA Bhai Virendra stated that his party will conduct awareness campaigns across every district of Bihar after Holi and will continue its political struggle.
