Bihars JD(U) Celebrates 23 Years of Development and Good Governance
On its 23rd anniversary, JD(U) leaders emphasize the partys commitment to social justice and development in Bihar under Nitish Kumars leadership.

Patna, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : On October 30, the Janata Dal United (JD(U)) marked its 23rd anniversary in Patna, with Health Minister Nishant Kumar delivering a video message to congratulate party leaders, officials, and dedicated workers. He highlighted that the party was founded on October 30, 2003.
Kumar reflected on the party’s ideological roots, stating that JD(U) draws inspiration from the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan, Ram Manohar Lohia, and Jananayak Karpoori Thakur. He emphasized that the principles of social justice, inclusive development, secularism, and good governance form the backbone of the party’s political philosophy.
Since the formation of the government under Nitish Kumar in November 2005, Bihar has witnessed significant transformations aimed at justice, development, and governance. Kumar noted that the Nitish administration has launched historic initiatives in education, healthcare, electricity, women’s empowerment, and social justice. By reserving roles for women in panchayati raj institutions and government jobs, the state has set a precedent for women’s empowerment that serves as an inspiration nationwide.
He asserted that the true strength of any organization lies in its workers. JD(U) activists have played a crucial role in disseminating the party’s ideas, policies, and government schemes across villages and communities, contributing to the party’s robust presence throughout Bihar.
Kumar urged his colleagues to remember the journey thus far while recognizing their responsibilities moving forward. Maintaining organizational unity and coordination, along with a commitment to public service values, is a shared duty among all members.
He called on party workers to continue advancing JD(U)’s ideology and the developmental efforts initiated under Nitish Kumar’s leadership for the betterment of Bihar.
