Bihar Govt. making arrangements for training to women for self employment : Minister

Patna, Mar 8 : Bihar Government on Tuesday announced that arrangements for imparting training to women were being made to enable them to get vast opport ties of self employment. Agriculture Minister Amrendra Pratap Singh while replying to debate in Assembly on budgetary demand of his department for the financial year 2022-23, said that arrangements were being made for imparting training to women which would open new vista of self employment opport ties for them. Under the guidance of of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and support being extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Agriculture department of Bihar had taken important steps to ensure employment to women in large number he added. Singh said that Chief Minister Kumar had announced for opening of three more agriculture colleges in Bihar on independence Day last year. In a short time, despite facing odds in coronavirus pandemic, teaching had started in two of three newly established Agriculture colleges from February 24, he added. “Two colleges where teaching works have been initiated are– College of Agricultural Engineering, Ara and College of Agricultural Bio Technology, Sabour”, the Minister said adding that first Agriculture versity in Bihar was opened in Sabour in 2010. Earlier, no Agriculture versity was in Bihar, he lamented. Singh said that due to sustained efforts of the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Kumar, two more versities had come up in Bihar since 2010. The Minister said that Bihar was in worse condition in all sectors when NDA government headed by Chief Minister Kumar was voted to power in 2005. It was even worse than Bihar what first Chief Minister Sri Krishna Singh had got after taking over during post independence era, he pointed out. After reply of the Minister, budgetary demand of Rs 3584.31 Crores of Agriculture department for the financial year 2022-23 was passed in House by voice vote. Earlier, House witnessed acrimonious scene when leader of the opposition Tejaswi Prasad Yadav referred to statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat regarding women which was reported in a prestigious magazine. BJP members took strong exception to Tejaswi referring to statment of Mohan Bhagwat, saying he was not a member of the House. It was not proper for Tejaswi to refer a particular statement of Mohan Bhagwat as the latter had done a number of works for women welfare and their empowerment, a BJP MLA Sanjay Saraogi pointed out. Later, the Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha ordered to expunge the statement relating of Mohan Bhagwat from proceedings which was quoted by Tejaswi. KKS BM
