Bihar Government Launches Sahayog Shivir to Address Public Issues

Patna, May 20: Bihar government minister Ramkripal Yadav has made significant statements regarding crime and law enforcement in the state. Praising Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, he emphasized that the government is actively working for the public’s benefit by organizing ‘Sahayog Shivir’ in every panchayat to address the issues faced by citizens.

In an exclusive interview with a news agency on Wednesday, Ramkripal Yadav stated that Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has initiated commendable work for the public good. These camps will collect applications from residents and resolve their issues. He warned that officials failing to address applications promptly would face consequences, including suspension after 31 days.

Yadav mentioned that the Chief Minister and several ministers have been visiting different districts. He personally visited Begusarai to inspect the camps held in three panchayats. A large number of people attended these camps, where many minor issues were resolved on the spot, benefiting the community significantly.

Regarding crime and law enforcement, the minister asserted that the Chief Minister’s top priority is to create a crime-free Bihar, free from goons and murderers. He stated that criminals will not escape justice, and the Chief Minister has instructed officials to take strict action against them. He noted that half encounters are occurring, and those who do not reform will face full encounters. He claimed that the government will not allow criminals to raise their heads.

In response to Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav’s criticism of the government regarding crime and incidents against women, the minister retorted that Tejashwi’s political career is nearing its end as the public has turned away from him. He challenged Tejashwi to present crime statistics from his own tenure. He highlighted that previously, Bihar was engulfed in fear, with women afraid to venture out after dark, whereas now families stroll along Ganga Path and Marine Drive late at night.

On the nationwide strike by chemists against online medicine sales, the minister acknowledged that while the concerns of drug traders are valid, the online system is rapidly expanding. He pointed out that it is linked to the livelihoods of thousands, and the government will consider this matter seriously.

Responding to Anand Mohan’s criticism of the JD(U)’s functioning, the minister remarked that Anand, an old leader and a friendly figure, lacks the moral authority to question the party’s operations as he is not a member. He dismissed allegations of corruption within the JD(U) as baseless, asserting that there are no examples of obtaining ministerial positions through bribery.

He further stated that Nitish Kumar remains an active, aware, and effective leader. Kumar has worked to lead Bihar out of darkness and disorder towards development. He warned that those attempting to bury Nitish Kumar will themselves be buried. He also suggested that if Anand Mohan believes the JD(U) is a bad party, he should advise his family members within the party to leave.
