Bihar Chief Minister Reviews 11 Satellite Town Projects

Patna, June 2: A high-level meeting was held on Monday at the Sankalp Auditorium in Patna to review the progress of Bihar’s ambitious satellite town development projects.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary at the Lok Seva Awas, focused on assessing the status of eleven proposed satellite townships and discussing measures to ensure their timely completion.

During the meeting, Vinay Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department, presented a detailed review of the projects. He informed the Chief Minister about the identified locations for the eleven satellite towns, the available land for each project, the current status of infrastructure development, and the proposed roadmap for future implementation.

Emphasizing the strategic importance of this initiative, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary instructed officials to treat the township development plan as a top priority project, ensuring its completion within the set deadlines.

He stated that this project is crucial for Bihar’s urbanization efforts, economic development, job creation, and the establishment of modern housing infrastructure.

The Chief Minister directed officials to promptly address any obstacles related to land acquisition, administrative approvals, and other procedural requirements that could delay implementation. He also stressed the need for regular monitoring of the project’s progress and strict adherence to timelines.

Calling for enhanced departmental coordination, Samrat Chaudhary instructed all relevant departments to work closely together to expedite development and ensure the smooth execution of the projects.

Addressing the assembly, the Chief Minister noted that the successful completion of the eleven satellite towns would significantly boost planned urban development across Bihar. He mentioned that these projects would not only create new job opportunities but also provide citizens with improved civic infrastructure and modern urban amenities, thereby enhancing the quality of life.
