Patna: Bihar Government Minister Dilip Jaiswal and JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad shared their views ahead of the upcoming Union Budget presentation. Dilip Jaiswal highlighted the development initiatives for Bihar under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that continuous work is underway due to the development packages announced for the state.
Dilip Jaiswal said, “Bihar has a double-engine government. The Prime Minister has visited Bihar several times and declared development projects for the state. Development work is consistently progressing across Bihar. Today, Bihar ranks among the top states in the country in terms of road infrastructure.”
Rajiv Ranjan Prasad spoke about the central government’s policies and the assistance provided to Bihar. He said, “Addressing the issue of resource imbalance is a top priority in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s agenda. Data shows that Bihar has received nearly 3.5 times more central assistance in the last 11 years compared to the Congress regime.”
He added that the last two Union Budgets have focused particularly on Bihar. According to him, the losses Bihar suffered during the Congress rule are being compensated steadily during Prime Minister Modi’s tenure.
Responding to a recent statement by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal remarked, “Rahul Gandhi has never respected Indian culture. He visits temples only occasionally for vote-bank politics or political gains. The truth is, he has never developed the love and attachment for this country that he should have. That is why the people of India reject him.”
Rajiv Ranjan Prasad added that on many occasions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi adopts the traditional attire and cultural identity of the states he visits to connect with the people, which is a meaningful symbolic gesture.
He also criticised Rahul Gandhi, saying, “He has often faltered on issues related to regional identity and self-respect. The statement by the Union Home Minister shows that Rahul Gandhi does not learn from his mistakes.”
It may be recalled that Amit Shah had recently criticized Rahul Gandhi for not wearing the traditional Assamese gamocha at a President’s at-home event in Dibrugarh, Assam. Shah said, “Everyone at the event wore the gamocha except Rahul Gandhi. I want to ask Congress why Rahul Gandhi did not wear it. What is his issue with the Northeast? BJP will not tolerate any disrespect to the culture of this region.”
