Kanpur witnessed the arrival of Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna, who recently visited his hometown after winning the popular reality show. Despite his victory, Gaurav has been surrounded by controversies related to the show.
Recently, Tanya Mittal accused Gaurav of making inappropriate remarks about his mother. However, during his visit to Kanpur, Gaurav declined to respond to any questions related to Tanya Mittal or the controversies, stating that the show has concluded.
In an exclusive conversation, Gaurav shared that Kanpur holds a special place in his heart as it is his birthplace. He said, “One should never forget their roots because they keep you grounded. Kanpur has given me a lot.”
Reflecting on his Bigg Boss journey, Gaurav remarked, “The show puts you in situations that bring out your true personality. Until now, people knew me by my characters, but after Bigg Boss, they know me as Gaurav Khanna. My recognition has grown not just in India but abroad as well. People calling me ‘GK’ made me very happy.”
Speaking about the ongoing development projects in Kanpur city, he appreciated the progress and expressed hope for the establishment of a film city there. Gaurav also expressed his desire to work locally. On youth and the nation, he said, “Gen Z is the foundation and strength of our country. Youngsters must realise they have the power to move India forward. I feel proud to be part of this nation and witness its growth.”
Regarding the development initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in Kanpur, Gaurav praised the Prime Minister, calling him a “very good person” and credited him for putting the country on the path of progress.
