Udaipur : Vidya Pracharini Sabha, Bhupal Nobles’ Sansthan, Udaipur, established by Maharana Bhupal Singh ji, the only Maharaj Pramukh of Rajasthan and the country, 100 years ago, on 2 January 1923, in the city of Udaipur, the famous then capital of Mewar, with the dedication Multidimensional education schemes are being realized and this institute is progressing progressively and was established as a university in the year 2016.
Bhupal Nobles’ University has become a heritage of the nation and the society by attaining a multi-faceted form during its service. Under Bhupal Nobles’ University, permission was granted to open the Faculty of Agriculture in the year 2016. It is a matter of great pleasure that during the centenary year of Bhupal Nobles’ Institute, BN Agricultural University has been recognized by the Indian Institute of Agricultural Research, New Delhi (ICAR) for a period of 5 years till 2027.
Initially the admission of the students was done on the basis of merit in science subject of class 12th, then from the academic year 2020-21, with the approval of the state government, 60 students were admitted through the joint entrance examination. While in the academic session 2022-23, the inspection committee constituted by the state government, after observing the college, recommended the admission of 120 students. Based on that, the state government has allowed admission of 120 students from the current academic session.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh Ji Singoli, Chairperson of Bhupal Nobles’ University, said that it is a matter of great pleasure for the university that in a short time, BN Agriculture has been approved for admission of 120 students by the state government and approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi for 5 years. To be recognized is in itself a great achievement.
Mr. Devendra Singh ji Shaktawat, chairman of the sub-committee of BN Agriculture College, said that this college is a great need for the farmers and youth of the tribal areas of South Rajasthan. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Bhupal Nobles’ University Professor NB Singh said that there are five agricultural universities in the state and many private agricultural colleges, many of which are not recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, but BN Agricultural College is the second private university in the state which have been recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, and the contribution of agriculture to the state’s GDP is more than 30%, which is more than the country’s average of 20%. Dean of BN Agriculture College, Dr. Dilip Singh said that there is an atmosphere of joy and happiness in the student community and the university fraternity after getting the recognition.
BN is going to start post graduation in selected subjects very soon in this phase of progress. Today, Farmer’s Day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm in the institute. This information was given by Dr. Kamal Singh Rathore, Public Relations Officer of BN University.
