Mumbai, May 18: Actress Bhumi Pednekar celebrated her achievement of winning the Best Actress award at the Zee Cine Awards for her outstanding performance in the Telugu film “Missamma.” On Monday, she shared her joy with fans on social media.
She posted several stunning pictures of herself in a saree along with the award on Instagram. In her post, she expressed gratitude for reaching the milestone of 25 years in the industry and thanked the entire team of “Missamma” and the Zee Cine Awards.
Reflecting on her journey, she wrote, “25 years. Thank you all for this award from the Zee Cine Awards and ‘Missamma.’ Seeing children perform to the songs from my films ‘Kushi,’ ‘Vasu,’ ‘Okkadu,’ ‘Simhadri,’ and ‘Missamma’ brought back old memories.”
Looking back on her 25-year journey, she noted, “It feels like a hazy memory, yet everything is so clear. I sincerely thank everyone who has supported me along the way. Mom, a special thanks to you. You have always been my strength. When I wanted to run away scared during my first film, you taught me to face challenges instead of fleeing.”
Bhumi also expressed her gratitude to her father and her son, affectionately referred to as “Little Champ.” She thanked the young girl named Bhumi who started this beautiful journey and never gave up. “You may not have been the most beautiful or the best in the field, but you were always honest and dedicated to your work. You never tried to pull anyone down to get ahead,” she wrote.
The actress acknowledged her weaknesses in PR and marketing but emphasized that her learning process continues. She concluded with heartfelt thanks to all her well-wishers for their love and to her family and friends who have always been by her side throughout this journey.
