‘Be job provider, not job seeker’, Maha Minister advises youths

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Apr 14 : Maharashtra Industry Minister and Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai on Thursday exhorted youths that instead of becoming a job seeker, be an entrepreneur and a job provider. Speaking after inauguration of Self-Employment Training Camp organised under Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme on behalf of Shiv Sena division no 1 and Mahayuva App here, he recounted that late Bal Thackeray had founded Shiv Sena for the rights of Marathi-speaking people and always insisted that Marathi youth should get fame not only in jobs but also in industry. Even Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray has given a direction to implement the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme as an ambitious scheme, he said. Under this Scheme, the objective of the Directorate of Industries is to create about one lakh entrepreneurs in five years and provide employment to 10 lakh youths through them, the minister said and pointed that a provision of Rs 500 crore has also been made in the state budget for this project. In order to avail maximum benefits of this Scheme for the youth of Maharashtra, Minister Aaditya Thackeray is also making special efforts, Desai added and appealed the youths to take maximum advantage of this opport ty.
