Quetta/Washington, October 22 (Daily Kiran): The Baloch National Movement (BNM) has launched an awareness campaign in the United States, accusing Pakistan of committing atrocities in Balochistan and labelling it a “terrorist country.” The campaign was held in front of the White House, where BNM activists distributed pamphlets highlighting human rights violations in the Zhari region of Balochistan.

The protest was led by BNM USA President Sami Baloch, who stated that the Pakistani military continues to commit severe abuses against innocent civilians in the region. “Pakistan is a terrorist state that has long oppressed the Baloch people,” he said, adding that the violence and persecution in Balochistan have reached alarming levels.
According to a report by The Balochistan Post (Pashto edition), Sami Baloch said the humanitarian crisis in Balochistan is deepening rapidly. Ukrainian activists also joined the protest, expressing solidarity with the Baloch people and speaking in support of global movements for freedom and justice.
The pamphlets distributed during the protest described Pakistan as a country that “exploits the natural resources of the Baloch and other oppressed communities” while using Balochistan’s strategic location for political and economic gain. The BNM claimed that this is why Western countries remain silent on the crimes of Pakistan’s military and political establishment.
Sami Baloch further stated that “this inhuman spectacle must end.” The pamphlets alleged that the Pakistani military has been using force against civilians, citing a large-scale military operation conducted in Zhari, Balochistan, in mid-September 2025. The operation reportedly involved violence, forced displacement, and suppression of local political and social leaders to crush public resistance.
The pamphlets also referenced specific incidents, including a drone attack on September 17, 2025, in which several people were killed — identified as Sanauallah, Amna, Ali Akbar, Lal Bibi, Mohammad Hasan, and Mohammad Yaqoob. Another attack on October 5, 2025, in the Mola Chari area of Zhari allegedly saw helicopter gunfire and bombings carried out by the Punjab-based military forces, resulting in the deaths of numerous civilians, including children.
