Bail granted to man held for trying to enter house of National Security Advisor

New Delhi, March 16 : A local court on Wednesday granted bail to a Bengaluru-based man, who was arrested on allegation of trying to enter the residence of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. It was alleged that on February 16 at about 7:30 am, a red coloured SUV driven by the accused had allegedly tried to enter through the gate of Doval’s high-security central Delhi residence, triggering a minor security alarm. After the incident, the car was intercepted and the man was arrested by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, who guard Doval’s house. It was alleged that the man was mentally unsound and when asked some questions, he was not in a state of giving answers. Doval was present at the residence, when the incident took place. The NSA is secured under top Z+ category of CISF commandos. Additional Sessions Judge Ajay Kumar Jain, after hearing argument on behalf of both the Prosecution and Defence Counsels, said that considering the nature of allegations, background of the accused and the fact that the accused was in custody since February 16, 2022 and no more required for investigation, is admitted to bail with the condition of furnishing a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and one surety in the like amount.
