Mumbai, May 15: Actor Babil Khan is celebrating his birthday today. On this special occasion, his mother and writer Sutapa Sikdar shared warm birthday wishes for her son.
Sutapa posted a picture of Babil on Instagram, where he is seen in a stylish black outfit. She captioned the photo, “May your name shine to the skies, but always keep your feet on the ground. May the moon and stars always be close to you, and may peaceful sleep reside on your eyelids… Amen. Happy birthday, my dear; may you live long. Love you, Babil.”
She further added, “Those tiny steps have now grown to size 10. Travel a lot, see the world openly, learn from good experiences, and keep becoming wiser every day. Happy birthday.”
Babil Khan is the eldest son of the late actor Irrfan Khan and writer-producer Sutapa Sikdar. He is among the artists in the film industry who have carved out a unique identity through their craft.
Before stepping into acting, Babil worked as a camera assistant in the Bollywood film ‘Karib Karib Single’ in 2017. He made his acting debut in the 2022 film ‘Kala,’ which received significant acclaim for his performance.
Following this, he gained recognition in the entertainment world with Netflix’s series ‘Friday Night Plan’ and the web series ‘The Railway Man.’ This series, based on the Bhopal gas tragedy, featured actors like Divyendu Sharma, K.K. Menon, and R. Madhavan alongside him.
After establishing a distinct identity in Hindi cinema, Babil is set to make his debut in Malayalam cinema with ‘Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market.’ Directed by Babu Janardhanan, the film also stars Aparna Balamurali in a lead role, along with Deepak Parambol and Johnny Antony.
