Ratlam (MP), Mar 31 : In the wake of three extremists hailing from this state-border district being placed under arrest in neighbouring Rajasthan’s Nimbahera while in possession of explosives; local police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad moved into higher gear here resulting in Thursday’s apprehension of two accused and the taking into custody of as many as approximately 50 suspects. Altamash, Zubair and Saifulla were nabbed on Wednesday but the identities of those caught later are being withheld. The duo is being interrogated by the ATS. “The suspected militants may have concealed more explosives, weapons, etc in Ratlam. In view of that, we shall minutely investigate each and every one of their contacts,” Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari told journalists here. Altamash and Zubair were earlier awarded life terms for the murder of Tarun Sankla. Likewise, Saifulla received life imprisonment for killing Kapil. The trio was released on bail. XC-AC
