
Guwahati, May 23: Assam police have arrested four individuals involved in cattle smuggling in Dhubri. The suspects have been identified as Moktar Ali, Kabul Ali, Tayab Ali, and Abruj Ali. They have been taken into custody as investigations continue.
Authorities have stated that no one involved in cattle smuggling will be spared. Strict action will be taken against all accused.
This case has emerged at a time when members of the Muslim community have publicly appealed against cattle sacrifice, emphasizing that such practices should not be accepted under any circumstances. The community has demanded a ban on cattle slaughter, asserting that they will not tolerate this situation.
The recent arrests highlight the police’s commitment to addressing the issue of cattle smuggling. Dhubri SSP Debashish Bora emphasized the seriousness of the matter, stating that all involved suspects are being identified and will face strict consequences. He assured that there will be no negligence in taking action against these offenders.
According to reports, police conducted a raid on IG Road in Dhubri district, seizing 90 kilograms of beef. Following this, additional suspects were apprehended and placed behind bars. The police have made it clear that they are working to uncover the entire network involved in this illegal activity, ensuring that no one will be let off the hook.
