Assam CM Faces Serious Allegations from Congress; BJP Responds with Strong Rebuttal

New Delhi, April 6: The Congress party has leveled serious allegations against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his wife during a press conference. In response, BJP Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi held a press conference to dismiss the claims made by Congress leader Pawan Khera as baseless.

Trivedi pointed out that the documents released by Congress contain incorrect surnames. He noted that the photo presented does not match the standard UIDAI photo, suggesting it is a public figure’s image from the public domain instead.

He stated that the UIDAI information shown is entirely inaccurate, and the ID sequence is also incorrect. This indicates that Congress is fabricating stories to alter the narrative ahead of the elections due to their impending defeat.

Trivedi further claimed that the ID number attributed to the Chief Minister’s wife, 784199657498, actually belongs to an Egyptian citizen whose passport had gone missing. He accused Congress of presenting this number as a fictitious fake passport belonging to Sarma’s wife. The actual passport belongs to Ashraf Abdul Qadir Abdul Samad Hussain, who reported the loss of his passport on social media on March 28. He described Congress members as urban Naxals who aim to create chaos in India.

He reminded the audience that the Congress party has a history of being anti-Hindu and has sheltered infiltrators. He highlighted that the party’s former leader had not held an Indian passport for 16 years, instead voting here with a foreign passport. He criticized the current Congress leaders for their extensive foreign travels and associations with anti-India forces.

Trivedi condemned Congress for making unfounded, factless accusations against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, especially when serious allegations are directed at Gaurav Gogoi, the Assam Congress president, regarding a treaty with Pakistan. He deemed Congress’s actions as shameful and disgraceful.
