Dubai, September 25 (Udaipur Kiran News): Team India stormed into the final of the Asia Cup 2025 after defeating Bangladesh by 41 runs in a crucial Super-4 clash on Wednesday. The result also knocked Sri Lanka out of the tournament, while the upcoming Bangladesh vs Pakistan match has effectively turned into a virtual semi-final.

Chasing 169, Bangladesh never really recovered after early setbacks. Despite a fighting knock from Saif Hassan (69 off 51 balls, 3 fours, 5 sixes), the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Apart from a 42-run stand with Parvez Hossain Emon (21), Bangladesh struggled and were eventually bowled out for 127.
India’s bowlers put up a disciplined performance. Kuldeep Yadav starred with 3 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy picked up two each. Axar Patel and Tilak Varma chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Earlier, opting to bat first after losing the toss, India posted 168/6 in 20 overs. Young opener Abhishek Sharma was the standout performer, smashing 75 runs off just 37 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Hardik Pandya added a valuable 38 (29 balls). However, skipper Suryakumar Yadav (5), Shivam Dube (2), and Tilak Varma (5) fell cheaply.
For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain impressed with 2 wickets for 27 runs in 3 overs, while Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, and Mohammad Saifuddin claimed one wicket each.
With this win, India have booked their place in the title clash, while fans now await the high-stakes Bangladesh vs Pakistan fixture that will decide the other finalist.
