Itanagar, Mar 10 : Ahead of ensuing Budget session of the State Legislative Assembly, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra on Thursday emphasised on improving the standard of living of the people and eradication of gender discrimination, illiteracy, unemployment, income inequality, etc. He expressed the hope that budgetary measures of the State Government will facilitate the government machinery in meeting the socio-economic goals for the overall benefit of the people. The Governor expressed this when Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called on him at the Raj Bhavan here on Thursday. During the meeting, both the leaders discussed the ensuing Budget session of the Assembly and other developmental projects in the State. The Deputy Chief Minister, also the Minister in-charge of Finance, will present the State Budget 2022-13 on March 14. Further stressing on proper monitoring of expenditure and optimum utilization of allocated funds, the Governor said that the Government officials should ensure that the last man in the queue is benefited from the developmental schemes and projects taken up by the Government.
