Arunachal Governor extends Unying Aran greetings

Itanagar, Mar 6 : Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) B.D. Mishra on Sunday extended his warm greetings to the people of the State, particularly the Adi comm ty on the eve of the l Unying Aran festival. The Governor expressed the hope that the festival will promote an ideal balance between traditions and environmental necessities. Unying Aran is one of the most popular festivals of the Adi comm ty. It is celebrated with the arrival of the spring season, showcasing the sublime and treasured cultural assets of the tribe. Its most important adjunct is its intended extension to the younger generation for creating awareness and empathy among them for the endowed versal human bonding, the Governor said. “Equally importantly, this festival propagates the benevolent relationship between man and nature. I am sanguine that our Adi elders will continue to urge the younger generations to emulate the excellent social traditions of yore and environmental preservation prevalent in their comm ty,” he said. “On this auspicious occasion, I offer my prayers to ‘Kine Nane’, the Goddess of crops and prosperity, ‘Dadi Bote’, the God of Animal kingdom, ‘Doying-Bote’, the God of Wisdom and all other benevolent deities to shower their blessings on the entire mankind and herald perpetual peace, progress and prosperity for one and all,” the Governor said in his message.
