Jaipur : As an Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) initiative, the wives of Army personnel of Chetak Corps showcased their skills in various fields of art & design at an exhibition organised at Mittal Mall, Bathinda on Tuesday. Regional President South Western Command AWWA accompanied by Zonal President Chetak Corps AWWA visited the exhibition.
A number of ladies participated in the exhibition and showcased their skills in handicraft, macramé, paintings, organic products etc. Despite frequent transfers in Army, the Army wives have adapted to the life style and made the best of their talents taking advantage of travelling and staying in various states of the country.
The exhibition was attended by a large number of citizens mostly women from all walks of lives. The citizenry appreciated the exhibition and the outstanding skills of Army wives, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The exhibition was also a source of inspiration for many and promoted Women Empowerment and the sale of their products through various digital platforms, promoting the Digital India Movement as well.
